As a school counselor, I seek to facilitate the cognitive and affective development of every student in my school.
The Counseling and Guidance Program is structured to provide for:
Individual and small group counseling.
Large group counseling and guidance lessons.
Consultation with parents, school faculty members, and colleagues in the school district and the broader community.
Parent and staff education.
Community networking focused on improving the opportunities children have to succeed.
Participation in a collaborative effort
with other school counselors and
with counselor educators at The University of
Georgia.
The counselorís professional and personal development.
Evaluation and planning of counseling and guidance services.
Participation in whole school planning and evaluative activities.
Opportunities to seek out grant monies to improve counseling services.
Active participation in professional organizations.
